About Us

We want everyone everywhere to have an everyday relationship with Jesus.

At Leominster Baptist Church, our deepest desire is for everyone, everywhere to experience the love, grace, and transforming power of Jesus in their everyday lives. We believe faith isn’t just for Sundays—it’s for every moment, every challenge, and every joy.

Our vision is simple yet life-changing: to help people build an everyday relationship with Jesus— so they can live with him, like him and for him. This is a relationship that shapes their decisions, strengthens their hearts, and fills their lives with hope. Whether you’re new to faith, exploring what it means to follow Christ, or looking for a community to grow with, we invite you to join us on this journey.

Wherever you are, whatever your story, you can walk with Jesus every day.

Vision

Be with him
Be like him
Be for Him

At the heart of our church is the invitation to experience a life transformed by Jesus. We are a community that seeks to draw people into a deep and personal relationship with God through the power of the Holy Spirit, where the good news of Jesus is more than a message—it’s a living reality.

We embrace the incredible truth that, through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we are forgiven, made new, and set free. In Him, we discover a restored relationship with God, a new Kingdom, and an eternal living hope. This is the foundation of everything we are: Jesus, with us, for us, and instead of us.

Our vision is to equip each person to abide in Jesus’ love, to hear His voice, and to walk in the wisdom of His Word. We believe that God’s will is revealed not only through Scripture but also through the guidance of His Spirit—leading us into His perfect purpose.

We are committed to helping each other recognize the presence of God in our everyday lives, to live with Him at the center of all we do. As we grow in love, we are also called to see and serve Christ in the faces of one another and in the world around us, encouraging each other to reflect His love in all our relationships and actions.

Together, we are living with Jesus, embracing His life, and sharing His light with the world.

At our church, we envision a life modeled after Jesus—a life marked by love, service, and transformation. We believe that following His example means embracing compassion for others, nurturing deep, authentic relationships, and committing to justice and kindness every day. Our community is dedicated to being a beacon of hope in the world, where everyone is welcome to grow in faith, experience healing, and discover purpose.

We also believe in joyful holiness—a life of holiness that is not burdensome but filled with the deep joy that comes from walking closely with God. Holiness is not about rules or restrictions; it is about being set apart for God’s purpose, living in the freedom and joy that Jesus offers. As we seek to live like Him, we do so with hearts full of gratitude, celebrating the goodness of God in every aspect of our lives.

Living like Jesus means bearing the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These qualities are not something we strive for in our own strength; they are the natural outpouring of Christ living in us. As we surrender daily to His presence, we allow His Spirit to shape our thoughts, actions, and character, reflecting His love to the world around us.

Living for Jesus is about embodying His life and mission in everything we do. It means aligning our hearts and actions with His example, allowing His love to transform us from the inside out. Jesus lived with a deep commitment to God’s will and a genuine love for people, especially those who were marginalized or hurting. He came to serve, not to be served, and He calls us to do the same. To live for Jesus means to follow His example of sacrificial love, forgiveness, and humility.

Living for Jesus starts with embracing His command to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. It is about recognizing that our relationship with God is the foundation of our lives and allowing His love to shape our thoughts, words, and actions. When we live with God’s love at the center, it becomes natural to extend that love to others, just as Jesus did during His time on earth.

Jesus demonstrated a life of selflessness, putting others before Himself. He healed the sick, comforted the brokenhearted, reached out to the lost, and invited all to come to Him for rest and restoration. As His followers, we are called to serve others, meet their needs, and be a light in a world filled with darkness. This could mean offering a helping hand to a neighbor, standing up for justice, speaking out for the oppressed, or simply showing kindness in everyday moments.

Living for Jesus also involves embracing His message of forgiveness. Jesus taught us to forgive not just seven times, but seventy-seven times—an invitation to extend grace even when it’s hard. By doing so, we reflect God’s mercy, which is limitless and unconditional.

Moreover, living for Jesus means living out His mission to bring hope and healing to the world. Jesus shared the good news of the Kingdom of God with everyone He met, and He commissioned His followers to do the same. This is not limited to preaching, but extends to living out the values of the Kingdom—love, peace, justice, humility, and truth—in our daily interactions.

In all of this, we are called to make disciples, to teach others about Jesus, and to invite them into the same life of transformation that we’ve experienced. Living for Jesus is not just about our personal journey; it’s about helping others find the hope, peace, and life that only He can give.

Ultimately, to live for Jesus is to be a reflection of Him in the world. It means doing the things He did—loving others, serving humbly, and living with a mission to bring about God’s will on earth as it is in heaven. It’s about becoming more like Him every day, in our thoughts, words, and actions, and sharing His love with a hurting world.

Core Values

What shapes us

Our core values are the principles that shape how we do ministry and how we make decisions.

Christ-Centered – Making Jesus the foundation of everything

Christ is the head of the church, and everything we do is guided by His leadership and lordship. Our identity is found in Him alone, shaping our purpose, hope, and salvation. The gospel is at the heart of our mission, compelling us to share the good news of Jesus with the world. Following Christ is not just a Sunday experience but a daily pursuit, shaping how we live, love, and serve.

Biblical Authority – Submitting to the truth of God’s Word

The Bible is our ultimate foundation, providing truth, wisdom, and direction for every aspect of life. We trust Scripture as the inspired Word of God, choosing obedience to His teachings over cultural norms or personal preferences. Our beliefs, decisions, and way of life are shaped by God’s truth, and we are committed to continually studying and applying His Word to grow in faith, wisdom, and spiritual maturity. We also make sure that our study is not an end in itself but a means to lead us to greater love for and devotion to Jesus, to whom all scripture points.

Genuine Worship – Honoring God with authenticity and truth

True worship is more than just singing; it is a way of life. We worship in spirit and in truth, seeking to encounter God with hearts that are fully surrendered to Him. Our worship is Spirit-led and grounded in the unchanging truth of Scripture, not based on emotions or circumstances. Whether in seasons of joy or trials, we glorify God with gratitude, devotion, and faith, offering Him our whole lives as an act of worship.

Cultivating an intimate and adventurous Faith – Living in abiding union with Jesus through the Holy Spirit

Faith calls us to trust God beyond what we can see, cultivating a deep and unwavering relationship with Him. We step out in boldness, not relying on our own strength, but walking in the power of the Holy Spirit, who leads and empowers us. We pray expectantly, believing that God will do more than we can ask or imagine. Following Him often requires stepping into the unknown with courage, knowing that His presence goes before us. As such we seek to cultivate a trusting relationship with God. We take time to listen to God to remain in step with the Spirit so that we can know his heart and embrace challenges and opportunities that stretch us beyond our comfort zones. Our faith is not passive but active, calling us to abiding union with Christ, radical obedience and unwavering confidence in God’s limitless ability to accomplish the impossible.

Authentic Relationships – Building real connections through love and community

True relationships are built on love, honesty, and vulnerability. We are called to love one another as God has loved us, fostering a culture where people can be real with one another. In our small groups and daily lives, we seek to create spaces where people are known, supported, and encouraged in their faith. Authenticity deepens our connection with God and with each other, allowing us to grow together in love and truth.

Strengthening Families – Supporting and equipping families in Christ

Every family, no matter its shape or circumstance, is meant to thrive in Christ. We are committed to nurturing strong, Christ-centered homes by offering support, encouragement, and resources that help families grow spiritually. Just as God calls us to care for orphans, widows, and those in need, we extend love and support to every generation, ensuring that no one walks alone. Families flourish when they are rooted in faith, built on love, and strengthened through community.

Community Servants – Being the hands and feet of Jesus to those around us

Serving others is at the heart of the gospel. We live out our faith by meeting needs, extending kindness, and loving our neighbors as ourselves. Our mission is not just within the walls of the church but in the streets, workplaces, and homes of our community. By embodying the love of Christ in practical ways, we bring hope, healing, and transformation to those around us. True service is more than an act—it is a lifestyle of generosity and compassion.

Kingdom Partners – Uniting with others to advance God’s mission

The Church is bigger than one congregation, and we are called to work together for the sake of God’s Kingdom. Through partnerships with other churches and ministries, we demonstrate the unity of Christ’s body and extend our reach beyond what we could do alone. When we love one another as Christ commanded, we reflect His heart to the world, showing that we are His disciples. Together, we stand stronger, serve better, and advance the gospel with greater impact.

Making Jesus Known – Empowered by the Holy Spirit to share the gospel

Jesus calls us to be His witnesses, and we cannot do it in our own strength. We rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to boldly proclaim the good news of Christ in our neighborhoods, cities, and across the world. Our mission starts where we are but extends to the ends of the earth. Through our words, actions, and lives, we make Jesus known so that others may experience His love, grace, and salvation.

Sending Disciples – Going into all the world to make disciples of all nations

The Great Commission is not a suggestion—it is a calling. Jesus commands us to go, teach, baptize, and make disciples. We embrace this mission by equipping and sending people to share the gospel globally. Whether through short-term missions, long-term ministry, or supporting those on the field, we are dedicated to reaching the lost and discipling new believers. We go with confidence, knowing that Jesus is with us always, empowering us to fulfill His mission.

Radical Generosity – Giving freely because God has given freely to us

Generosity is not just about finances; it is a way of life. Jesus teaches that it is more blessed to give than to receive, and we seek to live with open hands—giving our time, resources, and love to others. Whether supporting missions, helping those in need, or funding church planting efforts, we give sacrificially and joyfully, trusting that God provides abundantly. Radical generosity reflects the heart of Christ and is a powerful testimony of His love to the world.

For some this means travelling away but for most it means finding the opportunities and ways in which God is working in our own lives, the lives of our families and our places  of work and play. When we see God working, we then try to find ways to join in.

Multiplying the gospel opportunities by supporting missions and new churches

The mission of the Church is to make disciples, and one of the most effective ways to do that is through church planting. We are committed to raising up leaders, equipping them with biblical truth, and sending them out to start new churches that will, in turn, plant others. Just as Paul instructed Timothy to pass on what he had learned to trustworthy leaders, we strive to create a movement of multiplication where the gospel spreads through thriving, Christ-centered communities.
