I'm New

Welcome to Leominster Baptist Church

I’m so glad you’re here and taking a moment to learn more about our church family. At LBC, we believe church is more than just a Sunday gathering—it’s a community centered on Jesus, where everyone is welcome, no matter where they are on their journey.

Maybe you don’t consider yourself a churchgoer, or perhaps past experiences have made you hesitant about faith. If that’s the case, let me assure you—there’s no pressure here. We’re not about trying to convert or convince anyone; we simply want to create a space where you can explore, ask questions, and experience the love of God in a real and authentic way.

We have a simple saying: “Everyone’s welcome because nobody’s perfect, and with God, anything is possible.” So, wherever you are in life, we invite you to come and see for yourself. You belong here, and we’d love to meet you!

What to Expect

You can expect a warm welcome, some music designed to provide an atmosphere of worship and a message to help you think and address real life and help you find your potential in a relationship with God.

We aim to make our services accessible to as many as possible. If you choose to come along you will find plenty of help and explanation of what is happening. We do take up a monetary collection but it is for our members and regular attendees. If you are a visitor or guest, please do not feel like you have to give.

Each Sunday we have our weekly gathering. This is at 10:30 on Sunday Morning.

The church has a courtyard in front of it where you may park but please be aware that it tends to fill up fast.

Parking is also available along Etnam Street and there is parking behind the Chequers pub opposite the church which is free all day on Sundays.

We see children as part of the family so they normally stay with parents for the first part of the morning meeting and then go out when the children’s programmes start.

In the mornings there is a creche area available for parents with babies and toddlers. There are also groups for children up to age 18.
You may have questions or doubts. If so, you are in good company… this is how a lot of us started out. Our aim is to make this a place where you can be yourself and explore faith. So if you have any questions feel free to ask them. If you have any concerns we are happy to hear them and if you want to just check us out and not make any commitment that’s okay too.

Jesus has been changing lives for thousands of years. We believe he is more than a myth, fairy tale or a result of wishful thinking. The problem is that just explaining him won’t get across what he is like… he has to be experienced.

So whenever you feel ready and whenever you have the time, we invite you to come and see for yourself.
If you are in need of help, support, advice, a listening ear or just a friend then please feel free to contact us and we will do all we can to help.
